Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Release Manager to coordinate and optimize release processes across multiple platforms including ESPN, and Hulu.
This role involves managing cross-platform programs, facilitating executive communications, and ensuring seamless deployments.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to enforce process discipline across diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and enhance Release Management plans and processes for assigned platforms.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive release schedules, documentation, and communication plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate release risks and dependencies.
- Lead procedural excellence and drive quality improvements through release metrics.
- Communicate release progress and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Act as a key integrator across initiatives to improve operational efficiency across Product Design, Program Management, and Engineering.
- Use data-informed approaches to assess service health, deployments, and release performance.
- Establish clear communication structures and templates across departments.
- Conduct tactical and strategic analyses across business units.
- Mentor team members on Release Management best practices and standardized processes.
- Minimize hotfixes through rigorous planning and attention to detail.
- Enforce release scope discipline and push back on last-minute feature additions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Release Management or related roles (QA Manager, Release Engineer, Product/Project/Delivery Manager).
- Proven experience managing full lifecycle of releases into production.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Willingness to work with Airtable and obtain certification if needed.
- Ability to adapt release processes across different platforms.
- Experience working in Agile environments, preferably SAFe Agile.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Client's platforms and corporate procedures.
- Familiarity with Airtable (strongly preferred).
- SAFe Agile Release Train Certification (a plus).
