Job Description
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules, such as Installation of Extrusion & Thermoforming Equipment
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Daily and weekly Preventive Maintenance (PM)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- GMPs and SQF compliance are required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, electrical, mechanical and PLC troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics and print drawings
- Electrical wiring experience
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail; able to recognize, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Bilingual a plus (Spanish)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Maintenance experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
- Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
- Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds at a time.
