Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on a variety of industrial vehicles and equipment, including forklifts (electric and LP), aerial lifts, personnel carriers, and light/heavy-duty trucks.
The ideal candidate demonstrates technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position involves hands-on mechanical work and regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing. Personal tools are not required.

Preferred Certifications:
Automotive, Forklift, Mechanical, or Diesel Technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures on vehicles and equipment; disassemble, repair, and reassemble components as required
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections to ensure optimal performance and compliance
- Respond to service calls and provide timely troubleshooting and repair solutions
- Maintain detailed and accurate service logs, maintenance reports, and inspection records
- Ensure all fleet and equipment repairs meet company and regulatory standards
- Complete all required documentation, including daily checklists and pre-trip inspections
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 18 years (21+ if CDL required)
- Successful completion of drug test and background verification
- Validated technical/mechanical aptitude test
- Proven experience repairing forklifts (propane, electric, hydraulic systems, or pallet jacks)
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and vehicles
- Proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and brake systems
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using computerized diagnostic tools, CMMS, or maintenance work order systems
- Familiarity with industrial and manufacturing maintenance standards and procedures
- Experience operating or testing Class A/B CDL vehicles
- Background in servicing both light and heavy-duty trucks, including engines, brakes, and tires
- Solid understanding of internal combustion and diesel engine systems
