Must Haves:

• 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server: Writing stored procedures, CTE, building indexes, running queries, and reading queries
• 3-5 years of experience working with ETL, building tables
• 3-5 years of experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar; experience writing scripts
• 3-4+ years of experience with Excel
• Power BI experience: experience handling reporting and building out Power BI reports

Plusses:

• Familiarity with APIs
• Familiar with Azure
• Familiar with Star Schema or Snowflake Schema

Day to day:

A client in the Vancouver, WA area is looking for a Data Ops Engineer to join their team! In this role, you will be working alongside another Data Ops Engineer and working with SQL Server, Python, PowerShell, ETL, Power BI, and Excel daily. The reason for this opening is to assist with current work but also help move this team forward on a project to build out a data warehouse for their organization. As a Data Ops Engineer you will be responsible for SQL Server Development, consisting of but not limited to: writing stored procedures, CTE, building indexes, running queries, and reading queries. In addition, you will also handle ETL processes, maintain data pipelines, support ad-hoc requests, data model, perform reporting in Power BI and script with PowerShell and Python. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has a positive attitude, and is a team player.

• Enabling AI and ML readiness, improving reporting pipelines, and ensuring data reliability
