CAD Designer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Salary: $60,000 – $80,000

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to join a growing civil engineering and land development team in San Antonio. This role is ideal for early-career CAD professionals with 1+ years of experience who are eager to contribute to a variety of projects across Texas. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to create precise technical drawings, 2D and 3D models, and construction documents that turn design concepts into reality.

Role Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, technical plans, and construction documents.
  • Support engineers and project managers with design development and revisions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project standards and deadlines are met.
  • Assist in reviewing drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay current with CAD software and best practices, recommending workflow improvements when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional experience in CAD design, drafting, or modeling.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software. Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering principles, site development, and construction documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with 3D modeling or BIM software.
  • Knowledge of industry drafting standards and best practices.
  • Interest in civil engineering or land development projects.
